When you browse web site using cookies, you may be asked to fill out a form providing information such as your name, address, email id etc and this information is sent to your web browser which stores it for later use. The reason for storing this data is for a fast access and saving a lot of time while entering information in the same website. Next time when you browse the same web site, server can use this information to present you with custom web pages.
